ASKO’s HXT Knives Cut High-Strength Steels

ASKO, Inc., Homestead, Pa., offers its new HXT line of knives designed to handle advanced high-strength steels. HXT knives are applied in pickle lines and slitting lines for slitting and edge trimming of AHSS strip and sheet. HXT knives have demonstrated 3X to 6X the performance of conventional knives when cutting AHSS with tensile strengths from 600 to 1,700 MPa. Due to HXT’s unique physical and metallurgical properties, HXT knives process these high-tensile-strength materials without interruption or coil edge deterioration, the company claims.
